Miikka Mannio and Tuomas Karvonen are selected to take part in Cannes Young Lions competition in Cannes, the Olympics of creative industry. The guys will represent Finland in the Design category.
Although spending their days at Superson focusing on business development, account management and solving business problems, these fellas also have a lot to offer in creative planning, as proved already a few times. Award-winning cases like Genelec x Boiler Room and Puolestakyröttäjät would not have been born without these dudes. Both men are thrilled about this opportunity – as are all their super proud colleagues in Helsinki and Singapore.
– In a way, one of my lifelong dreams just came true. I’ve always had a dream of playing in the big global arenas. As a child, that dream was tied to football or playing the trumpet or what not. Since the years went by, I realized that my passion is probably somewhere else. I found it in marketing, Miikka says.
In turn, Tuomas has experience in running his own clothing brand being also responsible of the design.
– I don’t take breaks from creativity. The free time creative work, or maybe one could call it a hobby, definitely comprehends the work during office hours. Thanks to our agency that doesn’t put people in tight frames, we are able to focus on the most inspiring drivers of our work – solving business problems with creative touch, says Tuomas. adding that following one’s purpose is as important as eating. Sleeping doesn’t count, apparently.
Guys feel very proud and honored to be representing Finland in the Cannes Young Lions competition.
– It’s kind of like taking part in the Olympics of marketing, so to say. We’re
really looking forward to wearing the blue and white colors, Miikka and Tuomas rejoice.
